Full Review

Shaitan as the title itself says a lot, it drives the shaitan inside you. The title of the film completely justifies the film. If you are not living on the edge you are taking up too much space 'the mantra that defines the youth of today. But what happens when the edge gives away.
Shaitan is the story of 5 youngsters set in the urban cape of Mumbai. Amy (Kalki), Dash (Shiv Pandit), KC (Gulshan), Zubin and Tanya (Kirti Kulhari). Young, intelligent, and good looking with no hang ups and no boundaries, excitement is what they seek till a 'moment' changes everything.
The film takes a U Turn when an accident takes place which leads the 5 youngsters through a series of incidents across the roads, streets and by lanes of Mumbai and into the dark side of life.
This is when Inspector Arvind Mathur (Rajeev Khandelwal) comes in the picture with the unenviable task of chasing the youngsters down exposes the underbelly of the Police system and crime while grappling with his inner Shaitan. The confluence of the two sides brings across the ultimate explosion of action drama and thrill on Indian screens that are best described as real and raw.
The first half of the film is like a roller coaster ride which takes you through lot incidents while

second half is little dark which explores the negativity and the Shaitaan inside you.
First-time director Bejoy Nambiar is marvelous in terms of technical aspects. The film has been captured beautifully by Bejoy. The scenes that was shot in Mohammad Ali Road is commandable. The film takes you through a particular action sequence which has bag round music of Khoya Khoya Chand has been pictured incredibly. It’s a genuine effort and a fair attempt made by Bejoy which is remarkable.
All the star cast of the film looked perfect in their character.
Rajeev Khandelwal, playing a cop who's fighting his inner demons, nails the role, giving a tight, focused performance. Kalki is excellent. She's sure to wow and shock the audiences with her act. Neil Bhoopalam is first-rate. Especially towards the latter moments of the film. Shiv Pandit gives a good account of himself. Kirti Kulhari is super efficient. Gulshan Deviah is top notch. The peculiar behavior comes across very well in several sequences. Rajat Barmecha appears in an interesting cameo.
On the whole, SHAITAN is bound to raise eyebrows because of its strong content. Youngsters will certainly enjoy this film but possibilities are there the film may get mixed reactions.
But it’s a question in itself whether the Indian audience will be able to relate to the film?
