Full Review

Music composers Vishal-Shekhar have gone out of their realm to compose the music of upcoming film Bbuddah...Hoga Terra Baap and have churned out songs very different from their signature style. Another striking fact of the album is the presence of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has sung four out of five tracks in the film, making it a complete Big B music score.
Romance flaps its wings withHaal-e-dil, whichis the best song of the album. Crooned by Amitabh, this soulful rendition has brief appearances by Monali Thakur and Shekhar Ravjiani too. With faint musical backing, the song is slow-paced and a truly lyrics led track. However towards the end, the tempo and the music becomes louder and more distinct, keeping the pace and mood of the song intact.
The title track of the film Bbuddah...hoga terra baap stands out becauseithas adopted a relatively new technique called a Capella style, in which a person or a group sings without any instrumental sound. This song too has vocals by Amitabh. Although the track is not the one that can be hummed or enjoyed musically, it sure possesses an interesting facet

owing to the witty lyrics. It’s more of a situational song. It also has a remixed version, which is quite average, but slightly faster in pace.
Go meera gobrings father-son duo Amitabh and Abhishek together behind the mike for a track which is an amalgamation of some of Big B’s all time hits including Khaike paan banaras wala, Pag ghungroo baandh meera naachi thi, Rang barse and Sara zamaana haseeno ka deewana among others and a rap sub-track by Abhishek. The songs have been revisited and stylized in a contemporary set up. Again this song is more of a situational offering.
Finally there is a complete shift of genre with Sunidhi Chauhan singing Main Chandigarh di star, which an item number in the film, shot on Raveena Tandon. The massy track is a complete dance number and full of loud beats and strong orchestration. However, it fails to impress.
On the whole, the album doesn’t bring to the table music that can be sat and heard, but sticks more to the theme of the film. However, Haal-e-dil has the potential to be liked by listeners.
