It’s a clash at box-office again. Two films…similar plots…similar posters but with different names are releasing within a few days of each other. While the one being produced by Percept has a “?” sign on the posters, the other, a creation of Bonn creative cinemas has been named “The Unwanted.”
Both films are based on the famous Hollywood horror movie- The Blair Witch Project. The story revolves around a bunch of college kids who go into the jungle to shoot a project film and do not return. The “?” will release on 17th February while “The Unwanted” which is ready to hit theaters very soon will (date yet not revealed).The director of
Bonn creative cinema, Jitendra Kheterpal says, “I was really surprised to see the posters of the other film and it sounds like my own film too. I am hoping that the plotline will be different.” He added, “I spoke to CINTAA (Cine & TV Artists’ Association) so that they are also aware of it.”Incidentally, both the films were conceptualized in 2010 and were completed by 2011. But “The Unwanted” launched their website two weeks prior to the publicity campaign of the Percept film. So, it’s a wait and watch to see which film sets the cash registers ringing and also see who is more creative Percept or Bonn Creative Cinemas.
